Minimum requirements to apply for the
PR-LSAMP Bridge to the Doctorate Program Fellowship
ü The student must have had participated in at least one of the following PR-LSAMP activities:
Undergraduate research
Mentoring
Undergraduate to Graduate
Puerto Rico Interdisciplinary Scientific Meeting
NIST Summer Program
FAST and SULI Summer Programs
Travel to Scientific Meetings
OR
If student comes from the Continental US, student must be certified as an LSAMP student by his/her undergraduate institution
ü Have been accepted to the Natural Sciences Graduate Program, at UPR-Río Piedras in August 2008
PR-LSAMP BDP FELLOWSHIP APPLICATION CHECKLIST
The application form must include:
Student Application Form
Transcript (a student copy will be accepted)
Letter of acceptance to the Natural Sciences Faculty Graduate Program at UPR-Río Piedras
Two letters of recommendation. One from the research mentor and other from a professor from the student major area.
A personal statement of research interest.
Incomplete applications will not be processed.
