A Guide for Curriculum Innovation in Science, Mathematics and Engineering based
on Survey Results of Skills Required of Today’s Graduates

What are the skills that employers are requesting from our science and engineering BS graduates? To answers this question, PR-LSAMP sponsored a study under the leadership of Prof. Lueny Morell, a professor of Engineering at UPR-Mayaguez. Prof. Morell presents “the results of a literature search and of a number of surveys conducted by national organizations, educators and industry representatives. It provides information about the characteristics, abilities and traits that industries, universities and accreditation boards are demanding of today’s graduates” (page 7).
